A gold factory run by illegal expat workers is seized by the Jeddah Municipality.

The Jeddah Municipality (Amanah Jeddah) in Saudi Arabia raided a location in the “Al-Kandarah” neighborhood of Jeddah in violation of the smelting and gold industry conducted by illegal expat workers, and all seizures were taken by the authority.

The authority seized the facility dedicated to gold manufacturing, as well as machines connected to melting and casting gold, as well as a laser device for redrawing and engraving gold items, according to the Municipality, and all legal steps were implemented in this regard.

The Jeddah Municipality is also urging Saudi citizens and expats to help it by reporting municipal breaches via the Communications Center 940 or the Baladi Application, emphasizing the expansion of its field tours to regulate municipal violations and erase visual distortions.

Earlier this year, Muhammad Al-Baqmi, the official spokesman for the Jeddah Municipality, revealed that about 256,6270 inspection tours were conducted on commercial and health institutions in order to ensure the execution of municipal regulations and increase the percentage of compliance.

108,625 health certificates were issued and renewed for personnel in health-related activities, and 18,685 food samples were evaluated to assure the safety of food served to residents and visitors, according to him.

Al-Baqmi noted that the Municipality continues to monitor the application of health criteria in food establishments through its monitoring rounds.

By tying the findings of the medical examination to the health platform online, a variety of smart programs through the “Baladi” application made it easier for users to issue and print health certificates without having to go through the secretariat or the municipality. Through the Baladi platform, the recipient can perform a medical examination in licensed health facilities and receive the results of the examination online on the platform.
