Muslims from all over the world come to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj and Umrah rituals. Applicants from all countries must get a visa in order to enter Saudi Arabia. Some countries, however, do not require a visa to visit Saudi Arabia.

List of countries which do not need a visa for Saudi Arabia

Bahrain

Bahrain is one of the nations to which Saudi Arabia does not require a visa. Bahraini citizens are able to go to Saudi Arabia. Saudis, likewise, are not need to obtain a visa to visit Bahrain. Furthermore, expats living in Saudi Arabia can obtain a Bahrain On Arrival Visa.

Kuwait

Kuwait is another country that does not require a visa to enter Saudi Arabia. Kuwaiti nationals may enter Saudi Arabia using their national identity cards. Oman

Oman is the third country that does not require a visa to visit Saudi Arabia. They can enter Saudi Arabia using either their passport or their national identity card. Saudis, likewise, are not need to obtain a visa to visit Oman. Expats living in Saudi Arabia can also obtain an on-arrival visa at the Oman Airport.

UAE

The UAE, being Saudi Arabia’s most important partner, is one of the countries that does not require a Saudi visa. Emiratis can be found all across Saudi Arabia, living, traveling, and roaming. Saudis, meanwhile, are not need to obtain a visa to visit the UAE. For expats living in Saudi Arabia, applying for a UAE visa online is quite simple.

Qatar

Prior to June 2017, Qatari nationals could visit Saudi Arabia without a visa and travel about freely within the country. They are still allowed to perform Umrah at Jeddah Airport.

They will, however, be required to register with the Hajj and Umrah Ministry. Even expats living in Qatar are eligible to apply for an Umrah visa.

Transit Passengers

All transit travellers who plan to resume their journey within 12 hours by changing flights are free from the visa requirement. The only condition is that they must be in possession of valid return papers or documents. They will be denied permission to leave the airport.

You will need to apply for a Transit visa if you plan to stay in Saudi Arabia for longer than 12 hours.
