Consultant: The “Omicron” mutant causes severe injuries to this category… and the only deterrent to receiving the booster dose (video)

Consultant of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Alaa Al-Ali, reviewed some information about the new “Omicron” mutant and its effect on those infected with it, and the role of stimulant doses in confronting it.

He explained, during an intervention on the “An-Nahar News” program on the “Al-Ikhbaria” channel, that “Omicron” causes severe injury to those who suffer from immune problems, explaining that the high proportion of those vaccinated with vaccine doses had a major role in not being affected by the emergence of the new mutant.

He stressed that the high number of injuries in general does not constitute a big problem in itself, noting that what is important is the numbers of inpatients in hospitals as a result of severe injuries.

He stated that the elderly and people suffering from chronic diseases are the most in need of the booster dose, stressing that there is nothing to prevent it, unless the person has suffered from allergy symptoms during one of the first two doses.
