Types of Saudi Family Visit Visa
For Saudi expats, the Saudi Cabinet has completed and approved two types of Saudi family visit visas. If you recall, there used to be Single Entry Visit Visas that were good for 90 days and Multiple Visit Visas that were valid for 6 months to 2 years, however the Saudi authorities have revoked and annulled both of these categories. As of now, there are only two types of Saudi family visit visas, as listed below:
- Visa for a single-entry family visit.
- Multiple-entry visa for family visits.
For our Urdu Viewers
1. Single Entry Saudi Family Visit Visa
The Single Entry Family Visit Visa is issued with a 30-day validity period following the announcement of the new family visit visa policy. However, the maximum extension duration for this Single Entry Saudi family visit visa will remain the same as before, which is 180 days or 6 months. According to the new regulation, the Single Entry Visit Visa can be extended up to five times from the expiration of the first 30 days or a month.
We simply need to inform our readers that, as of now, every Saudi expat requesting for a 30-day extension of their Saudi family visit visa must also renew their insurance for family visit visa holders by paying the requisite extension price as well as the insurance payments.
2. Multiple Entry Saudi Family Visit Visa
The family visit visa with multiple entries is valid for 90 days. The multiple Saudi family visit visa might be extended up to 180 days under previous laws and regulations. According to the Saudi Jawazat’s most recent tweet, multiple Saudi family visit visas cannot be extended. As a result, the holder of a multiple visit visa must depart the kingdom of Saudi Arabia before his or her visa expires.
The Saudi Jawazat stated it on Twitter, in response to a question about whether the Multiple Entry Saudi Family Visit Visa, which has a one-year validity, may be extended after the 90-day term has passed.
It is confirmed now that the Saudi family visit visa holder has to exit now from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia before 90 days and come back without applying for the further extension.
Those Saudi expats who applied for and received the 2 year Multiple Entry Saudi Family Visit Visa before the announcement of the new changes would not be affected in any way by the above new adjustments.
