The Ministry of the Interior: The second dose is a condition for citizens to travel abroad, starting next August 9

The Ministry of Interior decided that all citizens should take the second dose of the new anti-Coronavirus vaccine to travel outside the Kingdom, starting from 1/1/1443 AH corresponding to August 9, 2021 AD.

The decision excluded from this condition those under 12 years of age, provided that insurance against the risks of corona, and those recovering from the virus who spent less than (6) months infected with the virus, in addition to those recovering who received one dose of the vaccine.

An official source in the Ministry of Interior stated that, in accordance with the preventive and precautionary measures recommended by the Ministry of Health, and in the context of the tireless efforts to control the emerging Corona Virus (COVID19) pandemic, and given what the countries of the world are witnessing from the emergence of new waves of spread of the epidemic and the emergence of mutants of the virus and the low effectiveness of the dose. One of the vaccines in the face of these mutations, and because studies and scientific research have proven that receiving two doses of the vaccine is enough – God willing – to protect against complications of the virus mutations.

It was decided to require the second dose of the new anti-Coronavirus vaccine to travel outside the Kingdom for all citizens, starting from 1/1/1443 AH corresponding to August 9, 2021 AD, with the exception of those under the age of 12 years, provided that they submit an approved insurance policy before travelling. The Saudi Central Bank covers the risks of (COVID19) outside the Kingdom, and those recovering from the Corona virus provided that they have spent less than (6) months from contracting the virus, and those who contracted the virus and received one dose of the vaccine.
