Sources revealed that the number of pilgrims for Hajj in 1442 AH was determined by sixty thousand pilgrims, with a review of developments regarding the epidemiological conditions locally and internationally, provided that the ages of those allowed to perform the Hajj range between (18 – 60) years.
The health protocols for performing the Hajj this year included making sure that the candidates for Hajj are free of acute chronic diseases, and attaching a medical report proving that they are in good health as part of the requirements for obtaining a Hajj permit.
As for pilgrims abroad; They are required to obtain full doses of vaccines approved in Saudi Arabia, with a certificate attested by the official health authorities in their country, provided that the period between receiving the last dose (the second of a two-dose vaccine and the first of a single-dose vaccine) and leaving to the Kingdom is no less than 14 Days.
The requirements require all pilgrims abroad to present a “PCR” examination certificate with a negative result proving that they are free of the Corona virus, 72 hours before the date of travel.
As for domestic pilgrims, they are required to obtain at least one dose of an approved vaccine that has been taken (6-8) weeks, with obtaining the second dose once the initial acceptance of the Hajj is at least two weeks before heading to the Hajj areas.
Internal pilgrims are required to take a “PCR” swab that proves that they are free of the Coronavirus within 48 hours before heading to the Holy Land.
