Saudi Arabia is home to a large number of expatriates. Foreigners from all over the world are working in the Kingdom. Except on a regular Employment visa, the holders are banned from working and those caught working on such visas are detained, fined, and deported with a ban on future entry into the Kingdom. Also, there is no ‘Free Visa’ that exists in Saudi Arabia. Below are the different types of visas in Saudi Arabia.

Employment visa – تأشيرة عمل (Tashira Amal)
All expatriate workers must have a valid employment visa to work legally in Saudi Arabia.

Family Visit visa – عائلية تأشيرة زيارة (Aayila Tashira Ziyarah)
Family visit visas are issued to first-degree relatives of eligible expatriate residents, and employment is prohibited on this visa.

Family visa – تأشيرة زيارة (Tashira Aayila)
Permanent family visas are issued to first-degree relatives of eligible expatriate residents, and employment is prohibited on this visa.

Haj Visa – تأشيرة حج (Tashira Haj)
Hajj visas are issued for the purpose of Hajj pilgrimage.

Umrah visa – تأشيرة عمرة (Tashira Umrah)
Umrah visas are issued for the purpose of Umrah pilgrimage.

Business visa – تأشيرة تجارية (Tashira Tijariah)
Business visas are issued for investors/business visitors.

Business Work visa – تأشيرة تجارية للعمل (Tashira Tijariah Lilamal)
Business work visas allow companies to bring in skilled and highly specialized categories of workers for specific work for a short duration (2 months).
