Makkah: In Saudi Arabia, the Jeddah traffic department has closed the roads to the beach on the orders of the municipality in view of the hurricane.
According to Saudi media, the traffic department said in a statement that Jeddah sea front traffic has been diverted to alternative routes.
The Makkah Governorate added in a statement on its official Twitter account that Jeddah traffic department officials were blocking access to the beach and guiding alternative routes.
Traffic officials are warning motorists that it is not safe to go to the beach due to flooding at sea, so the sea lanes have been closed.
The traffic department is instructing the drivers using the said route to take alternative routes.
