The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Advocacy and Guidance, Dr. Abd Al-Latif Al Al-Sheikh, said that the ministry would not delay in closing mosques in the event of an increase in the number of new cases of “Corona” virus.

He explained during an interview today (Friday) to Al-Akhbariya channel, that the ministry is coordinating with the relevant authorities in the country, including the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Interior, and the Senior Scholars Authority regarding procedures and decisions related to facing the pandemic.

The minister had instructed to stop advocacy activities in mosques to be offered “remotely”, reduce the waiting time between the call to prayer and residence, and close mosques after prayers, while ensuring that mosques and mosques be sterilized periodically.
