The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs has set the dates for implementing the controls and requirements for groceries and supplies, which will take place in two stages.
The Ministry indicated that the first phase of the application of controls will start on February 10, and it has determined the controls that must be met at this stage in the presence of valid health certificates, a valid license, in addition to a pricing on all products, and surveillance cameras.
The ministry has set June 29, 2021 for the start of the second phase of implementing the controls, which includes providing a system for issuing electronic invoices, adhering to the specifications of the new panels, having a fully transparent interface, and installing an external cloud that allows vision.
She added that the controls of this stage also include cleanliness of floors, ceilings, walls, shelves and storage areas, cleanliness of cooling and freezing units and their surroundings, and adherence to the minimum distance between shelves.
She added that among the controls required in the second phase: Storage of cleaning equipment and tools away from foodstuffs, moving fire extinguishing cylinders and hanging first aid box.
