An official source at the Ministry of Interior stated that it is following the statement issued on Jumada Al-Uola 24, 1442 AH corresponding to January 8, 2021 AD regarding permission to travel outside the Kingdom and come to it, starting from 8/18/1442 AH, corresponding to 3/31/2021 AD, in the interest of the state for the safety and security of citizens.

Those wishing to travel abroad when the aforementioned travel is allowed time arrives, and in light of the security conditions and instability prevailing in a number of countries, the continuing outbreak of the new Corona pandemic (Covid-19) and the spread of a new mutated strain of the virus, the Ministry of Interior has warned citizens against traveling To a number of countries without obtaining prior permission from the concerned authorities, and from these countries (Libya, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, Turkey, Armenia, Somalia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Afghanistan, Venezuela, Belarus) and any other countries that have not yet been controlled.

On the pandemic in it, or it is proven that the mutated strain of the virus has spread in it. The Ministry also called on citizens who are present, or who may be in these countries in the future, to urgently register with the Kingdom’s embassies there. The Ministry called on citizens wishing to travel to the permitted countries to exercise caution and stay away from areas where instability prevails or witnessing the spread of the virus, and to follow all precautionary measures, regardless of their destination.
