Ministry of Interior: Extending the suspension of international flights and entering the Kingdom through the land and sea ports for another week

An official source at the Ministry of Interior stated that, following the statement issued on 5/5/1442 AH, corresponding to 12/20/2020 AD; Concerning the spread of a new mutated type of the emerging corona virus (Covid 19), in a number of countries, and the precautionary measures decided in this regard, such as suspending international flights for travelers – except in exceptional cases – temporarily for a week, which can be extended for another week, and suspension of entry To the Kingdom through the land and sea ports, temporarily for a week, which can be extended for another week.

Desiring to continue assessing the situation for another week, and to ensure that the public health of citizens and residents is protected and their safety, God willing, the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia decided to extend the work of the aforementioned procedures for another week, with an emphasis on excluding the movement of goods, commodities and supply chains, as well as permitting the departure Non-Saudis, through flights, of the Kingdom’s territory, according to the precautionary measures decided by the Ministry of Health.
