Today (Monday), the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al Al-Sheikh, directed the continuation of distance education for scholarship students at all academic levels until the end of the first semester of 2021 AD, in a manner that does not conflict with the residency system in the country of scholarship around the world.  The spokesperson for university education, Tariq Al-Ahmari, stated that the payment of financial dues is continued for scholarship students without accompanying persons in the Kingdom during the period of the pandemic, and who continue to study remotely, provided that the Deputy Minister of Education for Universities, Research and Innovation raises to the Minister cases that require continued spending on companions.

The directive also included authorizing the Deputy Minister for Universities, Research and Innovation to approve the requests of those wishing to postpone the scholarship for a period of one semester. According to the rules governing the postponement.
