Each one of us leaving the kingdom on the final exit visa back to the home country must ensure that the same is being followed before the expiry of Saudi iqama. We should also ensure that the date of exit on the passport must be properly followed and the Saudi expat must leave the kingdom within the due date of exit provided by the Saudi Jawazat. Doing so will allow the leaver to observe smooth exit and proper procedures while leaving back to his/her home country. 

Saudi Expats are Allowed for 60 Days Grace Period for Final Exit Visa  The Saudi General Directorate of Passports (GDP) has allowed some Saudi expats to remain in the Kingdom despite the expiry of their residency permits (Saudi Iqama) and despite the end of the relief offered by the “Nation without a Violator” campaign.

The Condition of Grace Period for Final Exit Visas  The grace has been allowed only on a condition that the stay of these Saudi expats should not exceed 60 days from the date of the issuance of the final exit visa, even if the residence permit (Saudi Iqama) itself has been expired.  Clarification of Grace Period of Final Exit Visa by Saudi General Directorate of Passports (GDP)  The GDP clarified this information on its official Twitter account as well.

AN SAUDI EXPAT ASKED THE QUESTION: “I HAVE A FINAL EXIT VISA AND MY SAUDI IQAMA HAS EXPIRED. IS THERE A PROBLEM WITH THIS?” THE GDP REPLIED, “THERE IS NO PROBLEM, PROVIDED THE DEPARTURE IS WITHIN 60 DAYS OF THE DATE OF THE ISSUING OF THE VISA”.
