The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs announced the updated municipal requirements for the activity of selling auto parts, which were approved today (Wednesday), as part of the project to improve the business environment in the Kingdom.
The requirements for the activity included the standardization of the external panels, so that their content is from the commercial name of the activity, the commercial registry number, and the logo – if any – according to the register.
It indicated that the conditions of the internal environment of the shop are as follows:
Laying appropriate corridors to facilitate passage inside the shop.
Providing suitable shelves for goods in terms of sizes and weights.
The shelves are made of metal materials that resist rust and moisture.
The height of the shelves above the ground is not less than 15 cm, evacuated from the bottom to facilitate the cleaning process.
It added that it has separated the requirements into more than 42 specific requirements covering the site, licenses, technical requirements, the external facade, the doors and the workers.
The Ministry called on the existing licensed establishments to rectify their conditions to comply with the new controls within one year from today’s date.
