#BREAKING: #SaudiArabia to resume Umrah and visits to the Two Holy Mosques gradually with limited domestic pilgrims starting from October 4, 2020

An official source at the Ministry of Interior announced today (Tuesday) that it is based on what has been received from the competent authorities regarding developments in the face of the emerging Corona virus pandemic, and in response to the aspiration of many Muslims at home and abroad to perform Umrah and visit rituals, and based on the wise leadership’s keenness on the health of those visiting the Two Holy Mosques The two honorable people and their safety, generous approval was issued to allow the performance of the Umrah and the visit gradually, while taking the necessary health precautions, according to the following arrangements and stages: 

First – Gradually re-permitting performing Umrah, entering the Grand Mosque and visiting the honorable kindergarten in the Prophet’s Mosque, according to the following stages : 

The first stage : allowing citizens and residents to perform Umrah from inside the Kingdom, starting from Sunday 17 Safar 1442 AH corresponding to October 4, 2020 AD, at a rate of 30% (6 thousand pilgrims / day) of the capacity that takes into account the health precautionary measures of the Grand Mosque. 

The second phase: allowing the performance of Umrah, visiting and prayers for citizens and residents from within the Kingdom, starting on Sunday 1 Rabi` Al-Awwal 1442 AH corresponding to October 18, 2020 AD, at a rate of 75% (15 thousand pilgrims / day, 40 thousand worshipers / day) of the capacity that takes into account the procedures The sanitary precaution of the Grand Mosque, with a rate of 75% as well from the absorptive capacity that takes into account the health precautionary measures for the honorable kindergarten in the Prophet’s Mosque. 

The third phase: allowing the performance of Umrah, visiting and prayers for citizens and residents from inside and outside the Kingdom, starting from Sunday 15 Rabi Al-Awwal 1442 AH corresponding to November 1, 2020 AD, until the official announcement of the end of the Corona pandemic or the disappearance of the danger, and that is 100% (20 thousand pilgrims / Today, 60 thousand worshipers / day) of the absorptive capacity that takes into account the health precautionary measures of the Grand Mosque, as well as 100% of the absorptive capacity that takes into account the health precautionary measures of the Prophet’s Mosque, and the arrival of pilgrims and visitors from outside the Kingdom gradually, and from countries that the Ministry of Health decides There are no health risks related to the Corona pandemic.
