he King Fahd Causeway Authority announced today (Monday) the provision of an electronic payment feature at the bridge gates.  She explained that the feature is available within the first phase of the new gates project that provides automatic payment machines, so that the passers-by do not have to bring cash with them.  She added that the new gates also allow passers-by to self-complete their procedures, without the need to deal with employees.  The King Fahd Bridge Foundation also reported that membership card holders can now recharge them through the institution’s official website.

new gates project is expected to be completed in March 2021, and its most prominent features are the ability to automatically identify vehicles, measure trucks’ weight automatically, and open gates directly, which saves time at the gate.
