The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) seeks through these decisions, to improve the Saudi labor market, develop its environment, standardize technical regulations and specifications and spread awareness about the rights and duties of employers and employees.
The Ministry has warned those all private establishments who violates this decision, Penalties will be applied from time to time on the company for not following these rules and regulations or violating the directive.
Now all private companies and establishment must have a dress code for its male and female workers and these requirement include written instructions to ensure that employees stick and follow to dress code that provides a decent professional appearance. – The amendment also includes that the company shall announce the conditions and fines for violating the dress code. The requirements of uniform and its fines must be display separately in a visible place in their establishment premises so that employees can know and follow the dress code requirements.
He referred to an amendment made in first paragraph of Article 38 of Saudi Labor Law related to work behavior controls at workplaces.
The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia Eng. Ahmed Al Rajhi issued a ministerial decision to regulate the uniform or a dress code for both male and female employees in all private companies of Kingdom.
