JEDDAH: THE GOOD NEWS FROM BAHRAIN AND OMAN HAS BOOSTED THE HOPES OF HOLIDAYMAKERS THAT THEY WILL SOON BE ABLE TO RETURN TO THE GULF.  OMAN HAS ANNOUNCED THAT IT WILL RESUME INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS FROM OCTOBER 1. IN ADDITION, INDIA AND BAHRAIN HAVE SIGNED AN AIR BUBBLE AGREEMENT TO FACILITATE THE RETURN JOURNEY OF EXPATRIATES.

THE UAE HAD EARLIER ALLOWED FOREIGNERS RETURNING TO ENTER THE COUNTRY AS PER SECURITY NORMS AND STARTED SERVICES FROM INDIA.  AT THE SAME TIME, THERE IS NO INDICATION OF A DATE FOR THE RESUMPTION OF FLIGHTS TO SAUDI ARABIA, BUT IT IS EXPECTED THAT SAUDI ARABIA WILL NATURALLY RELOCATE AS OTHER GCC COUNTRIES OPEN AIRSPACE.

MEANWHILE, JORDAN HAS RESUMED FLIGHTS AS PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED. IT IS HOPED THAT IN THE COMING DAYS THERE WILL BE MORE COMFORTING NEWS FOR EXPATRIATES ON HOLIDAY FROM SAUDI ARABIA AND OTHER GULF COUNTRIES.
