COVID-19: Pakistan resumes international flights starting Sunday

Pakistan has announced that it will resume all types of international flights to and from the country’s airports starting Sunday (August 09), after a steady decline witnessed in COVID-19 cases. The country fully restored its domestic flight operations from August 6 midnight.

Last Thursday, the government announced it would reopen all economic and social sectors. A complete ban was imposed in March on domestic and international flights after the country enforced a nationwide lock- down to contain coronavirus spread. In Pakistan, 283,487 cases of coronavirus have already been reported and some 259,604 people have recovered (Recovery rate 91.57%) with 6,068 deaths.
