Today Sunday, the Ministry of Interior announced that a decision has been issued to punish anyone who violates the instructions forbidding entry to the holy sites (Mona, Muzdalifah, Arafat) without permission for a fine of 10,000 riyals.  An official source at the ministry stated that the decision will come into effect from the date of 28 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1441 AH and until the end of the day of 12 Dhu al-Hijjah 1441 AH.  The source asserted that whoever violates these instructions will expose himself to double the punishment, calling on all citizens and residents to abide by the instructions for the Hajj season this year.

They stressed that the security men will start their duties in preventing violations and controlling attempts to enter the holy sites in all the roads and paths leading to them, and they will not hesitate to apply sanctions against all violators.  The source stated that this decision comes in conjunction with the royal order to approve the provisions and penalties for violators of precautionary measures and preventive measures taken to counter the emerging Corona virus, and it also comes within the framework of ensuring a commitment to apply precautionary measures and preventive protocols to limit the spread of the Corona virus approved for the Hajj season this year.
