After a video clip taken on Friday which shows crowding in Jeddah Corniche; Makkah Region Police the surround and close off the area

The Makkah Al-Mukarramah region police responded to the crowds that were witnessed in the Corniche area in Jeddah on Friday, as the Security Forces tasked with duties for the police in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region surrounded the Corniche area and imposed a security presence on the Corniche and the waterfront.

Security forces prevented any vehicle from entering, and the Corniche area today seemed completely empty of pedestrians.

A video clip had spread yesterday, Friday, after the decision of the Ministry of Interior to provide a curfew in Jeddah to three in the afternoon, in addition to some other decisions that aim to reduce the outbreak of the Coronavirus, which revealed the huge presence of vehicles and crowds of people not committed to the precautionary measures.
