Saudi Arabia has suspended Umrah pilgrimage and visits to the Two Holy Mosques of Makkah and Madina for locals (Saudi Citizens & Expatriates) in the Kingdom after GCC residents and International residents after the outbreak of Coronavirus in various parts of the world reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The decision on temporary suspension of Umrah pilgrimage and visits for Makkah Grand Mosque and Madina Grand Mosque will be reviewed regularly and reversed the decision once the situation becomes better said Saudi Press Agency, citing an official source in the Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior.
– All the local Umrah buses in Saudi Arabia turned back to their cities after temporary suspension of Umrah pilgrimage and visits to the Makkah and Madinah. Many people claimed that from Yesterday itself, check points did not allowed Umrah buses and asked to return back.
– Local travel agents of Umrah packages in Saudi Arabia are not taking any bookings and refunding the amount to those who paid after the news confirmed from Saudi Press Agency and various official sources.
