National Address Registration in Saudi Arabia

Bank and Insurance companies have been checking and verifying if their customers have done the national address registration through Iqama numbers at the Saudi post system in the implementation of government Resolution No. (252) dated 24/07/1434 AH.

The Saudi Post National Address System is a unified address data storage through the Geographic Information System (GIS). It is important for the government to know the addresses of each and every citizen and residents living in the country.

The national address registration by Saudis and expats will also improve the law and order situation in Saudi Arabia as security agencies would be able to track any criminal very quickly.

The first step for the national address registration is to open their website and click on the “Register Your Address Today”. https://address.gov.sa/en/. 

A new screen will open up with 3 options to register. We need to select the first option i.e. Registration of Individuals (for citizens and residents) at the National Address website. On the next page, you will have to select New Registration.

On the next page, you will be required to accept a long set of terms and conditions. You need to tick the box given at the end of the page that you have agreed to the terms and conditions for National Address Registration and click on “Register Individuals”.

On the next page, you will have to select the region, city, and district where you are living in for the national address registration. In the fourth box, you will have to enter the building number you are living in that is written on the front side of your building.

In the next step, you have will have to do the verification of your national address. For the verification of the national address, you need to click on the button “Verify Address”.

The system will take the information and check if the information you have provided is correct. If the information you have entered is correct, the button will turn from Yellow to Green.

After that, you will have to enter your personal details. You need to enter your Iqama Number, Iqama Expiry Date, mobile number, gender, email address, type of residency, residence ownership, and your flat number for the national address registration. After entering all these details, just click on the Next button.

In the last step, the Saudi Post will send you an activation code for the verification of your mobile number for National Address Registration. You need to enter that code to verify that the information you have entered is correct.

On the next page, the system will reproduce the information you have entered and fetch some information from its database. You need to review this information and click on the “Register” button if the information provided is correct.

A new screen will appear with a message that “Thank you, Your National Address registered successfully, Your Registration will be activated within 24 hours”.

How to check the national address by iqama number?

Many people have asked me if it is possible that somebody would check their address after the national address registration? Let me clarify and put it very straight that the government of Saudi Arabia has not given any online platform to check the national address of any person through the Iqama number. Only the authorities can check your national address by entering the Iqama number.

How to update a national address in KSA?

If you have moved to another place after the successful registration of the nationشم address in Saudi Arabia, you can easily update it in their system. Follow the same procedure explained above and select “manage a registered address”. After that, you will have to follow similar steps to update your national address in KSA.
